World Trade Centre

Hi All

We were wanting to take in the view one night from the top of the WTC. Is there a bar up there so you can have a drink while you enjoy the view and does it have a 360 degree view? Also is it very expensive - I dont want to have to pay $15 for a glass of wine.

World Trade Centre

There is a nightclub complex atop the WTC. I admit that I%26#39;m unsure of the current names of the clubs but they used to be called 360 and Ray%26#39;s Over the River. Maybe worldtraveler can help with the exact name(s).

Drinks are predictably expensive although I don%26#39;t think it%26#39;s $15 for a glass of wine.

I%26#39;d also be interested in hearing the current status. We did this back when it was 360 after dinner one night. We basically only stayed for ';one turn';. The view was nice, the drinks more pricey. One thing was neat, I guess because we were there right after dinner (maybe 8-ish) we had the whole place to ourselves besides one other group! But it is not the sort of place we wanted to hang out for long - we were ready to get back into the quarter.

I was last there this winter, and it was still called Ray%26#39;s. Don%26#39;t know about the new name though, but the only worthwhile aspect of the club is the view. With what they were charging for cover, I%26#39;m surprised the place is still open, but I guess you pay for the view.

Found this website to Altitude33 http://www.altitude33.com/contact.html - don%26#39;t know if it currently open but it does have a phone # to call!

Other than that, you could contact the Plimsoll Club for assistance.

Altitude 33 is one of the older names, but it%26#39;s all referring to the same club. Here%26#39;s another web site for Club 360: http://www.club360neworleans.com/

The Plimsoll Club is the WTC%26#39;s high-end banquet facilities. It%26#39;s separate ownership from the club, but it should have the current contact information. Otherwise, you could contact the WTC directly for info.

Hi Everyone

Thanks for your help - didnt even think about a cover charge! Not too sure if it will be worth it when we just want to see the view and have a couple of drinks.

Does anyone know of anywhere else in the quarter where you can get a good view.

We are staying in the Sheraton on Canal St so we might even get a good view depending on what room we get : )
