$2 fuel surcharge for cabs expiring!

Saw in today%26#39;s paper that the $2 fuel surcharge has been revoked by the City Council now that gas is back to a reasonable cost. Once the mayor signs in (and he will, according to the Times Picayune) it%26#39;ll take effect in a few days.

So the airport will be back to a $28 fare.

Great news! Thanks for the update!

Interesting. I was going to take the shuttle in July and still might but at least now this brings the cabs $4 closer for a roundtrip cost.

Cabs will be cheaper for two people...$56 vs. $60! It%26#39;s amazing that people take the shuttle when they have 2+ in their party.

For one, the shuttle%26#39;s still a better price.

or rent a car for $30- for two people? what a deal!

Vin, parking at hotels can be 20-30 dollars a night. That would make me take a cab.

If you do have a rent-a-car, you could still park at Harrah%26#39;s casino garage for free for at least 30 minutes of play inside the casino. A good deal if you%26#39;re planning on hitting up the casino anyway.

FYI, the free parking at Harrah%26#39;s will soon have a time limit on it. I think it%26#39;s 8 or 12 hours but I%26#39;ll double check.
