Hi!
Has anyone attended the Savoy Music Center%26#39;s Saturday Jam Session, in Eunice? Just wondered what it was like and if it was worth a special trip.
Thank you!

It is indeed worth a special trip. While you%26#39;re there, you should run up the road a few miles, to Fred%26#39;s Lounge, in Mamou.

Remember, though, both events take place only on Saturday mornings. Fred%26#39;s closes the doors no later than 2:00 and the festivities at Marc Savoy%26#39;s are over long before that.
And, if you hang around Eunice until Saturday evening, you should catch the show at the Liberty Theater.

Thank you so much for your reply!! I will check out the places that you mentioned. They sound great!
I just realized that we will be spending the night in Breaux Bridges on a Tuesday.
The Savoy Saturday Jam sounds so incredible. I know that my daughter (who wants to learn to play every instrument...) would love it. We will only be in that area one night before we drive into New Orleans.
Would it be worth it to drive back from New Orleans on Saturday morning (eventhough that is the day we are supposed to head East to continue on our road trip to Florida?
Thank you for your help!!
I don%26#39;t believe there%26#39;s anyone around who enjoys Cajun French music more than I do. That having been said, I wouldn%26#39;t be willing to make the drive from New Orleans to Eunice (three hours each way) just to go to Savoy%26#39;s and Fred%26#39;s.
Although it%26#39;s a poor second choice, I suggest that you make the 15 minute drive to Lafayette Tuesday night and have dinner at Randol%26#39;s. They have a Cajun French band every night.

Oh, thank you so much! You have saved the day!! That is exactly what we will do!
Rod, have you been to Randol%26#39;s lately? We were there last week. The food wasn%26#39;t good. The service was lacking, and the band was way off in the distance behind PLEXIGLASS. I haven%26#39;t been to Mulate%26#39;s in a long time, but I would try that instead.
Thank you for information!
Rose, thanks so much for the update on Randol%26#39;s. It%26#39;s been quite a while since I%26#39;ve been there and it looks as though it will be even longer before I go back.
Sparkle, Tuesday night isn%26#39;t too lively, but there are some other alternatives in the area. These are either in Breaux Bridge or the Lafayette area.
