Greetings!
I know you can buy tickets through ticketmaster for $40 per day (plus an $8 conv. charge per ticket making them actually $48 each)...but.....
it says that you can buy them for $50 at the gate.
My question is....does ';the gate'; mean ONSITE at the event, and is it $50 with NO extra fees (or do they also charge extra fees at the gate on site)????
Thanks for your help!
Need help ASAP with Jazzfest Tix Question
Last year it was an even $50 at the gate. This year I bought mine in the lobby of the Astor Crowne Plaza for $50. The conceirge table has tix as well as transportation tix
Need help ASAP with Jazzfest Tix Question
Awesome. That is very helpful. I hate givng ticketmaster a bunch of extra $$ for crappy service, so I would prefer to pay the direct $50. I just wanted to make sure that you could pay on site. Perhaps my hotel will also have a desk where we could purchase tickets as well.
Thanks again!
Looking forward to coming back to NOLA on Wed.!
I buy my tix in advance without the fees. Otherwise, I%26#39;d just pay the $50 at the gate as the lines aren%26#39;t bad. I also hate Ticketmaster!
(I also hate Ticketmaster!)
I wish the Jazzfest organizers would use another broker, or just sell them through their own site (like the band No Doubt) b/c it%26#39;s really not saving anyone any money going through Ticketmaster.
Totally agree! I really wish more bands would follow No Doubts lead.
I had heard that many of the venues for performers had exclusive contracts with ticket';master'; and that%26#39;s why they were ';stuck'; with them. (At least that is what Bruce Springsteen said when ticketmaster royally screwed his fans--and now NY state is suing TM over the whole thing). Who knows...
Either way, jazzfest- here we come! :)
Thanks tripadvisor folks! I%26#39;m staying at the Crowne Plaza this weekend and was wondering the same thing. I%26#39;m really glad to learn I can get tickets in the convenience of my own lobby!
