Romance in N.O.?

I%26#39;ve been in love with one of my freinds for a long time now. We are both 26. Me and her are going for a weekend in new orleans alone for the weekend of May 8th, 9th, 10th. I am looking for things to do that wouldnt take romance over the edge but still have a good time. Like a good band that plays slow, sexy music to dance close to. Some fun things to do during the day. ANY advice would be appreciated.

I always thought that a cool thing to do would be to hire one of the horse and carriages.

Go after dark, (maybe making arrangements with a driver in advance) and tell them that you want a slow, quiet tour. Bring champagne and maybe chocolate covered strawberries. It will be perfect!

do a moonlight cemetery tour with Bloody Mary and take the streetcar back afterwards. Jazz at Snug Harbour. beignets and coffee at cafe du monde after a night of cocktails. have her get dressed up and take her to a fancy dinner (Commander%26#39;s Palace, Muriels, Baccos, etc) capped off with cocktails at a really nice place (carousel bar at the monteleone, bar UnCommon at the Pere Marquette) I%26#39;m dying to try Cure www.curenola.com There are so many places to kindle a flame in New Orleans..good luck to you!

If you have a balcony room where you are staying that is VERY romantic. That is what we loved most about our stay. In the evening sitting on out provate balcony overlooking the quarter. In the mornings waking up and having fresh croissants and coffee watching the city wake up. Amazing.

Nothing says romance like a cemetary tour...I%26#39;d have to make a suggestion of the carriage ride also and a couple to go cups and stroll along the moonwalk..have dinner at Feelings Cafe or the courtyard at Bayona. See who is playing at the Montleone carousel bar.

Cajunyank,

I was only thinking of ways that would bring her closer to him-ha ha! A creepy moonlight cemetary tour might just do the trick. Plus, Mary%26#39;s moonlight cemetery tour tells some stories of long lost love.

unconventional, but...a thought.

since i%26#39;m the same age (and a girl) I can let you know that New Orleans is the perfect city for romance, and wish you tons of luck in love!
