I%26#39;m making all the plans now. After leaving San Diego Friday night late on February 12th, 2010, we are arriving at 8:00 am (red-eye) on February 13th (Saturday). We are leaving N. O. on February 17th (Wednesday). We can%26#39;t get to N. O. any earlier than the 12th, so I thought this was the best scenario. I don%26#39;t want to make any mistakes on these dates, with non-refundable reservations and all, so please confirm that this will work for the Mardi Gras. Thanks!
Please confirm that I have the right dates -Mardi Gras 2010.
Mardi Gras officially starts in the weeks prior to Mardi Gras Day (February 16, 2010), but many of the biggest parades will be during the dates you have selected. You should arrive just in time to catch some great parades like Endymion and Bacchus. I%26#39;d go ahead and book your tickets - the best hotel rooms get booked early!

Thank you for your response/confirmation of the dates. So far, I have booked the Hampton Inn on Carondelet as our hotel.
I understand that the Baccus parade is one of the biggest/best parades. Is it always on the Sunday evening before Fat Tuesday?
Thanks again.
Oops...Bacchus (I spelled it wrong.)
Yes, the major parades will roll on the same day each year, unless thunderstorms/heavy rain force a schedule change.
Just FYI, you can easily find these types of things via Google. I have to search for Mardi Gras, mother%26#39;s day, etc. EVERY YEAR and Google is an easy way to do it.
Your dates look great. Enjoy your Carnival visit!
Yes, I have done that several times, but just wanted to make sure in another way. Thanks!
