Lunch at Commander's Palace

It is necessary to have reservations (next Wednesday, probably right when they open)?

Nope, reservations are usually necessary for weekend brunch and some dinner nights. More lunch days are fine for walk-ins, especially as soon as they open!

I would advise you to do so, especially if you want to be in a specific room like the Garden Room.

The only time you would run into problems would be if there was something special going on or a huge group booking which I haven%26#39;t heard of any at this point. Make sure you try the bread pudding souffle for dessert (order it when ordering the main course) and I%26#39;ve also like ordering from their daily specials the food is great.

Thanks! I am definitely eyeing the bread pudding souffle. I%26#39;m not a huge dessert person, but love bread pudding! Is the Garden Room really much better?

It has a nice ambience, especially on a beautiful day, but there are lots of great dining rooms in Commander%26#39;s. It%26#39;s an old New Orleans house converted into a restaurant.

The main dining room is also very nice. We%26#39;ve eaten in both the garden room and the main dining room. Loved them both.
