Man vs Food

Tonight%26#39;s episode of ';Man vs Food'; on the Travel Channel is set in New Orleans.

The challenge is at Acme Oyster Company.

Don%26#39;t worry, if you miss tonight, it will be on a hundred times over the next several weeks.

Man vs Food

Thanks for the heads up. I%26#39;ll tivo it.

Man vs Food

This is a many time repeated show already and Acme is a fine oyster house...I just cringe when he raves about Mother%26#39;s in the show.

His challenge was to eat 180 oysters at Acme - that%26#39;s 15 trays worth!

Are there any other eating challenges as such at any other New Orleans venue?

I would love to see how many beignets he could put down at Cafe du Monde.

There%26#39;s the Tchoupitoulas ';ice cream'; challenge at the Creole Creamery, which is a favorite local ice cream parlor on Prytania St Uptown.

I would bet a lot of places hold crawfish challenges. It%26#39;s only so much you can eat before the spice gets to you! :)

Funny! cause I just set it up for TIVO a few days ago, can%26#39;t wait to see it.

I have been on the look out for anything that has NEW ORLEANS on TV. I just saw a documentary about the last huge Storm from the 1920%26#39;s (I think thats around the time). Just so happened to stumble across it. Great documentary, had lots of black and white footage of good old New Orleans.

Anyone else know of any good footage of New Orleans, movies etc?
